What is NYSERDA
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority was established by 1975 law as a public benefit corporation. NYSERDA funds research into energy supply and efficiency, as well as energy-related environmental issues, important to the well-being of NewYorkers.
For business, industry and institutional electric customers, NYSERDA offers sophisticated energy efficient construction advice, services and funding for new construction and rehabilitation improvements. .

For Business and Building Owners and Operators

The Right Light can help small businesses in New York to save 20 to 30 percent on the lighting portion of electricity bills by upgrading their lighting systems. Maintenance costs are lower, because the lighting systems last longer. The Right Light improves your bottom line by creating a more pleasant and welcoming environment for your business' clients, customers, and patients. The result: Better Lighting, Better Business.

Commercial Real Estate
Focus on Commercial Real Estate (CRE) is New York State's new business-focused solution to translate energy efficiency into higher asset value. Conceived in partnership with the real estate industry, Focus on CRE recognizes that commercial building owners are in the occupancy business, not the energy business. Through a simple, re-engineered process, Focus on CRE enables commercial building owners and tenants to achieve their financial and environmental objectives.

NYSERDA's residential programs are programs that work - programs that help homeowners reduce their energy costs; programs that help multifamily building owners provide energy-efficient apartments for their tenants; programs that reduce the impact homes have on the environment; and programs that provide training to contractors on how to provide quality energy efficiency services to their neighbors.
Working with a select group of contractors, builders, multifamily partners, retailers, and manufacturers, we have created a statewide network of partners who offer energy efficiency solutions that can help reduce your energy usage and costs.
